Resident doctors call off strike

Category: Health |
Nigeria TV Info – The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended the five-day warning strike it embarked upon on Friday.

NARD President, Dr. Tope Osundara, confirmed the suspension last night, stating that doctors are expected to return to their duty posts across the country this morning.

According to Osundara, the decision to call off the strike was taken as “a sign of goodwill and to assist Nigerians who are seeking healthcare in our various facilities.”

The suspension of the industrial action is expected to bring relief to patients nationwide, who had been affected by disruptions in medical services during the strike.
