The United States has introduced new health safety measures, including enhanced airport screening, following growing concerns over the possible spread of Ebola linked to parts of Africa.

According to US health authorities, the new steps come as Ebola cases continue to rise in the Democratic Republic of Congo and some neighbouring countries, raising fears about cross-border transmission and international travel-related risks.

Officials say the measures are intended to reduce the possibility of the deadly virus entering the United States through international travel routes. Health agencies have stressed that the actions are precautionary and designed to strengthen monitoring at points of entry.
