The European Union has committed €15m to support Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Yobe, Adamawa, Benue, Kano, and Sokoto States. EU Ambassador Gautier Mignot launched two projects—SIDPIN and SPADS—aimed at providing protection, durable solutions, and urban integration, especially for women and children. With partners like IOM, UN-Habitat, UNHCR, and DRC, the EU seeks to improve living conditions for over 3.5m displaced Nigerians and host communities, fostering resilience, stability, and peaceful coexistence beyond emergency aid.
