Nigeria TV Info — Federal High Court Postpones Omoyele Sowore’s Arraignment to October 27

Abuja, Nigeria — A Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned the arraignment of politician and online publisher, Omoyele Sowore, until October 27. Sowore faces allegations of making false claims against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Sowore, who is the publisher of Sahara Reporters and a serial presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), was scheduled to be arraigned yesterday on a five-count charge filed by the Department of State Services (DSS) against him and two others. The case has now been rescheduled, pending further proceedings.

The postponement has stirred discussions on social media, with supporters and critics weighing in on the implications for freedom of expression and political dissent in Nigeria.
