Death of Arise TV Anchor: Somtochukwu Jumped from 3rd Floor — FCT Police Boss

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has provided an update on the tragic death of Arise News anchor, Somtochukwu, who passed away recently in Abuja.

According to the FCT Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh, preliminary investigations revealed that the journalist jumped from the third floor of a building where he resided. He stated that the police are thoroughly investigating the circumstances that led to the incident, stressing that no foul play has yet been established.

Igweh noted that the case has generated wide public interest, especially given Somtochukwu’s high-profile role in the media industry. He assured the public that the police would conduct a transparent and detailed inquiry, while also awaiting an autopsy report to ascertain the exact cause of death.

The CP urged Nigerians to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified reports on social media, emphasizing the command’s commitment to uncovering the truth.
