Tinubu Approves National Honours for 959 Distinguished Nigerians

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved national honours for 959 Nigerians and friends of the country in recognition of their outstanding contributions to national development. The honourees, drawn from various sectors including politics, business, academia, security, entertainment, and humanitarian services, will receive awards such as the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR), Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), and Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).

The list reportedly includes top public servants, traditional rulers, athletes, and innovators who have distinguished themselves in service to the nation. A statement from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) noted that the investiture ceremony will take place later this month at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

President Tinubu commended the honourees for their patriotic commitment and urged them to continue upholding integrity and excellence. He also restated his administration’s dedication to rewarding merit, hard work, and national service.
