Nigeria TV Info â Trump Undecided on Supplying Tomahawk Missiles to Ukraine, Tense Talks with Zelenskyy Reported
Washington, USA â U.S. Vice President JD Vance has confirmed that President Donald Trump has not yet decided whether to provide Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles. The revelation comes after a tense meeting on Friday between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to sources familiar with the private discussions, Trump suggested offering security guarantees to both Kyiv and Moscow, comments that reportedly left the Ukrainian delegation puzzled. The meeting reportedly became more strained as Trump pressed Zelenskyy to relinquish large areas of territory to Russia, a proposal that was firmly rejected, leaving Ukraine disappointed.
Following the meeting, Trump publicly called for a ceasefire along current frontlines, a position that Zelenskyy later echoed. One source revealed that Trump even proposed âmaking a deal where we are, on the demarcation lineâ after Zelenskyy refused to voluntarily cede any land.
Despite the tense exchange, the meeting was not disastrous for Ukraine. However, Zelenskyyâs aim of securing long-range Tomahawk missiles capable of striking deep into Russian territory remains unfulfilled. Vice President Vance stated on Sunday night that Trump continues to weigh the decision on supplying the missiles.
