Nigeria TV Info — Tinubu: My Government Protects No One From Prosecution, Pledges Support for Judiciary

Abuja, Nigeria — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has affirmed that his administration will not shield any individual or group from facing legal consequences, regardless of political affiliation or social standing.

Speaking on Monday in Abuja at the opening of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and National Judicial Institute (NJI) Workshop for Justices and Judges, President Tinubu emphasized that his government neither obstructs crime investigations nor conceals wrongdoing.

> “My administration cannot be accused of protecting anyone from legal consequences. We have no shield laws, and we do not engage in the concealment of people’s involvement in crime,” he declared.

The President stated that building a corruption-free Nigeria is achievable if citizens at all levels commit to integrity and accountability in their respective spheres of influence.

He urged members of the judiciary to remain steadfast, impartial, and incorruptible, noting that the decline of any society often begins when those responsible for interpreting its laws become compromised.

“When the judiciary falters, the foundation of justice and fairness crumbles. Our nation’s stability depends largely on the integrity of our courts,” Tinubu warned.

The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing the welfare and working conditions of judicial officers, saying the recent review of judges’ remuneration forms part of ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening judicial independence.

Tinubu assured continued collaboration with the judiciary and anti-graft institutions like the EFCC to ensure that justice, fairness, and transparency remain central to governance.
