BREAKING: Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyers Withdraw from Case

In a dramatic twist, the legal team representing Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has officially withdrawn from his ongoing trial before the Federal High Court in Abuja. The lawyers, led by Chief Alloy Ejimakor, announced their decision on Thursday, citing persistent interference, intimidation, and lack of fair trial conditions as reasons for their withdrawal.

According to Ejimakor, the team had faced numerous challenges in gaining access to their client and presenting their defense effectively. He stated that “the environment no longer guarantees fair legal representation or respect for due process.” The sudden withdrawal is expected to cause delays in the continuation of Kanu’s case, which has drawn national and international attention since his re-arrest in 2021.

The Federal Government has yet to issue an official response to the development. Supporters of the IPOB leader have expressed concern that this move could deepen the legal uncertainty surrounding Kanu’s detention and trial.
