PDP Convention: NEC Members Set High Bar for Incoming National Chairman

As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) prepares for its forthcoming national convention, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) have resolved to ensure that only a credible, experienced, and unifying figure emerges as the next national chairman. During a closed-door meeting held in Abuja, key stakeholders emphasized that the new leader must demonstrate capacity to reposition the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to insiders, the NEC members insisted that the incoming chairman must possess strong moral integrity, political sagacity, and an unblemished record of service within the party. They also highlighted the need for inclusiveness, internal democracy, and reconciliation among aggrieved members to restore public confidence in the PDP.
