London Protesters Demand Global Action as Sudan War Enters Deadlier Phase

Protesters gathered outside Downing Street in London on Wednesday to express solidarity with the people of Sudan, as the nation’s two-year conflict escalates into one of its most dangerous stages yet.

The paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are reported to have taken full control of the Darfur region, including El-Fasher — the last major stronghold previously held by the Sudanese army in western Sudan. The capture of the city has intensified concerns that Sudan, Africa’s third-largest country, could face further fragmentation. This comes nearly 15 years after South Sudan gained independence following decades of civil war.

At the demonstration in London, protesters accused the United Arab Emirates of supplying weapons and direct support to the RSF, calling on the international community to take decisive action. They also urged citizens globally to boycott UAE products and business interests. The UAE, however, has strongly denied these allegations.

Speaking at the rally, protester Elhussein Yassin expressed grief and frustration over the rising death toll.

> “In the last three days, many people have been killed by RSF militia, by Hemedti’s forces, by Emirati weapons — and the world stays silent,” he said.
“They have committed genocide in our country, and we are here to stand with our people.”

Another demonstrator, Ziyad Kashan, described the devastation of Sudan’s major cities.

“They burn down houses. Entire neighborhoods like Bahri and Khartoum have been completely destroyed,” he said.
“It’s heartbreaking that I can’t go back to my country.”

International rights groups have repeatedly warned that the humanitarian crisis in Sudan is worsening rapidly, with millions displaced and large civilian populations under threat of famine and targeted violence.

For now, protesters say they will continue their demonstrations in London and other global cities until stronger diplomatic pressure is applied to halt the conflict and protect Sudanese civilians.

Nigeria TV Info will continue to monitor developments in Sudan.
