Sani Condemns Trump’s Military Threat on Nigeria, Calls for Diplomatic Restraint

Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has strongly condemned the recent military threat issued by former U.S. President Donald Trump against Nigeria. Trump had warned that the U.S. could take military action if alleged killings of Christians continued in the country. In a statement on Monday, Sani described the comment as “reckless and an affront to Nigeria’s sovereignty,” urging the international community to respect Nigeria’s internal affairs.
He noted that such threats could strain diplomatic relations and destabilize regional peace. Sani called on Nigerian leaders to respond with maturity while addressing genuine human rights concerns internally.
