Kwara Police Declare Three Suspected Kidnap Kingpins Wanted, Arrest Officers Accused of Extortion
The Kwara State Police Command has declared three alleged kidnap kingpins wanted in connection with recent violent attacks on several communities across the state.
Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adekimi Ojo, disclosed this on Wednesday while speaking to journalists at the Command Headquarters in Ilorin. He identified the suspects as Chelsea, Auta, and Aro, describing them as central figures in a network responsible for armed banditry and kidnappings in parts of Kwara South, Edu, and Patigi Local Government Areas.
According to him, security operatives have intensified operations to track down the suspects, noting that their arrest would significantly aid ongoing efforts to restore peace and security in the affected communities.
The Commissioner also revealed that following a joint military and police offensive along the KwaraâKogi border axis, several bandits have been neutralized, while others are fleeing deeper into forest hideouts to evade capture.
