Anambra Decides: Soludo Takes Early Lead as INEC Uploads 99% of Polling Unit Results
Governor Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has taken an early lead in the ongoing Anambra governorship election as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) confirms that 99% of results have been uploaded on the IReV portal.
According to the figures available, Soludo is currently ahead in most local government areas, including Awka South, Aguata, and Idemili North, maintaining a strong margin over his closest rivals from the Labour Party (LP) and All Progressives Congress (APC).
Election observers report that the process has been largely peaceful across the state, though minor glitches were recorded in some polling units due to BVAS malfunctions and late arrival of materials.
INEC officials have urged patience as collation continues at the state headquarters in Awka, promising full transparency and adherence to due process.
This election marks Soludoâs bid for a second term as governor, with final results expected to be declared soon after completion of collation.
