OPFY Commander Reaffirms Military Resolve, Decorates Newly Promoted Soldiers in Zamfara

The Theatre Commander of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation Fansan Yamma (OPFY), Major General Warrah Idris, has reiterated the military’s commitment to sustaining aggressive mobile operations aimed at ensuring swift and effective mission execution across the region.

Major General Idris made the statement while decorating newly promoted soldiers serving at the Theatre Command Headquarters in Gusau, Zamfara State.

He urged the troops to maintain excellence, discipline, and professionalism as they take up new responsibilities tied to their elevated ranks. The Commander further encouraged them to remain courageous, stressing that their promotion should motivate them to demonstrate even greater gallantry during ongoing operations to eliminate terrorism and banditry affecting the North-West as well as parts of Kwara and Niger States.

He reaffirmed that OPFY remains focused on restoring peace and stability, assuring that the military will not relent in its mission to defeat criminal elements threatening national security.
