NIMC’s directive on SIM verification cripples service delivery

Telecom operators, under the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON), have reported that the National Identity Management Commission’s (NIMC) directive to transition to a new identity verification platform has caused widespread disruption of SIM-related services across the country. They assured subscribers that efforts are underway to resolve the issue and restore normal services as quickly as possible.
