Atiku Abubakar to FG, All Progressives Congress: Disclose Nasir El-Rufai’s Whereabouts, Health Status

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called on the Federal Government and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to urgently disclose the whereabouts and current health condition of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.

In a statement released through his media office, Atiku expressed concern over what he described as the “unusual silence” surrounding El-Rufai’s recent absence from public engagements and political activities. He noted that as a prominent political figure and former governor, Nigerians deserve clarity regarding his situation.

Atiku emphasized that transparency in governance includes keeping citizens informed about the well-being of public office holders, especially those who have played significant roles in national affairs. According to him, rumors and speculation circulating on social media could be avoided if the government or the APC provides an official statement.

The former Vice President urged the ruling party to act responsibly and reassure Nigerians that there is no cause for alarm. He added that political differences should not overshadow the importance of openness and accountability in democratic leadership.
