Tributes as Military Buries Braimah, Officer, Six Soldiers Killed in Borno Attack

The Nigerian military has paid solemn tributes to an officer, Braimah, and six soldiers who lost their lives in a recent ambush carried out by suspected insurgents in parts of Borno State. The fallen personnel were laid to rest with full military honours amid tears, prayers, and praise for their bravery in defending the nation.

The burial ceremony, attended by senior officers of the Nigerian Army, took place under tight security. Military officials described the deceased as gallant heroes who paid the ultimate price in the ongoing counter-insurgency operations in the North-East.

According to military sources, the troops were attacked while on operational duty in a volatile corridor known for frequent insurgent activity. Despite their resistance, they were overwhelmed by the attackers, leading to the tragic loss of eight personnel in total.

Speaking at the funeral parade, senior commanders praised the courage and discipline of the slain soldiers, noting that their sacrifice would not be in vain. They assured that operations in the region would be intensified to track down and neutralize the perpetrators.
