The Kogi State Government has confirmed the successful rescue of the remaining nine victims abducted from the Tajudeen Islamic Foundation and Children’s Home alongside the Daarulkitab Islamic Training Center in Adavi Local Government Area.

According to state authorities, the victims were rescued during coordinated search-and-rescue operations carried out by troops of the 12 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in collaboration with other security agencies.

Government officials described the operation as a major breakthrough in ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping and improve security across the state. The rescue operation reportedly followed intensive intelligence gathering and strategic security deployments in areas linked to the abduction.

The victims were earlier kidnapped during an attack on the Islamic institutions located in Adavi Local Government Area, triggering widespread concern among residents and religious communities within the state.
