President Tinubuâs official aircraft, Nigeria Air Force 1, landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi at approximately 12:15 a.m. local time, marking the beginning of his official engagement in the East African nation.
The Nigerian leader was received upon arrival by top government officials, including Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani; Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele; Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari; Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole; Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola; and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu.
During the summit, President Tinubu is expected to participate in high-level discussions focused on expanding economic cooperation, promoting innovation, and driving sustainable development across Africa. The gathering is also expected to deepen diplomatic and economic ties between African countries and France.
A major highlight of the visit will be Tinubuâs participation in the Africa-France Summit, which will be co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto. The summit is expected to bring together African leaders, policymakers, and investors to discuss strategies for economic transformation and regional partnerships.
Tinubuâs participation comes as Nigeria continues to seek stronger international partnerships aimed at attracting investments, boosting trade opportunities, and accelerating development initiatives under his administration.
