FCTA Launches Free Health Insurance Scheme for Inmates in Correctional Centres

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has commenced a free health insurance programme aimed at improving healthcare access for inmates across correctional centres in Abuja.

According to officials, the initiative is designed to ensure that all incarcerated persons receive adequate medical attention without financial barriers. The programme covers general healthcare services, emergency treatment, and routine medical check-ups within designated correctional facilities.
