NAF Vows Safe Rescue Of Abducted Oyo Schoolchildren, Teachers

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safe rescue of schoolchildren and teachers abducted during the recent attacks on schools in Oyo State.

According to government officials, security agencies are intensifying coordinated search-and-rescue operations, including aerial surveillance, intelligence gathering, and joint security missions aimed at locating the victims and securing their release. The Federal Government has described the safe return of the abducted pupils and teachers as a top national priority.

The abduction, which occurred in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, involved coordinated attacks on multiple schools, leading to the kidnapping of dozens of pupils and teachers. The incident has sparked national concern and renewed calls for stronger security measures around schools across the country.

Authorities disclosed that military and intelligence agencies are working closely together to track down the perpetrators. The Federal Government has also pledged to deploy all lawful resources available to ensure the victims are rescued unharmed and those responsible are brought to justice.

Meanwhile, families of the abducted victims continue to appeal for swift action as anxiety grows over the prolonged captivity of their loved ones. Community leaders and stakeholders have urged Nigerians to remain calm and support ongoing rescue efforts while avoiding the spread of unverified information.

The latest assurance from NAF comes amid nationwide concerns over rising school abductions and the need to strengthen the protection of educational institutions. Security agencies have vowed not to relent until every abducted child and teacher is safely reunited with their families.
