FIRS, Customs Partner to Advance National Single Window Project

The Federal Governmentñ€ℱs efforts to streamline trade facilitation operations have received a significant boost as the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) intensify collaboration on the National Single Window (NSW) project.

The NSW is a landmark trade facilitation initiative designed to revolutionise Nigeriañ€ℱs import and export processes, enhance revenue generation, and strengthen the nationñ€ℱs competitiveness in the global market.

During a high-level meeting at the NCS Corporate Headquarters in Abuja, senior officials from both agencies reviewed progress on the project and agreed on concrete steps to fast-track system integration. The agencies aim to ensure readiness ahead of the projectñ€ℱs scheduled launch in the first quarter of 2026.

The move underscores the governmentñ€ℱs commitment to leveraging technology and inter-agency cooperation to boost trade efficiency and economic growth.
