Police, 3 Others Arrested in Edo for Armed Robbery, Extortion

BENIN CITY — The Edo State Police Command has announced the arrest of a police officer alongside three civilians over alleged involvement in armed robbery and extortion in Benin City.

The suspects, identified as Inspector Ojo Oloruntobi, Charles Onah, Joseph Ohis, and Enoma Agho, are accused of orchestrating a series of robberies, extortions, and assaults targeting residents of the city.

The police have stated that the suspects will be prosecuted under the relevant provisions of the law, and investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of their alleged criminal activities.
