Iseyin, Oyo State — The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Nigeria, Bengt Van Loosdrecht, has formally handed over the ownership, management, and operation of the inclusive agribusiness initiative, 2Scale, to Nigerian scholars, farmers, and entrepreneurs under the Institute of Agribusiness Management Nigeria.

The official handover ceremony took place at the FCW Milk Bulking Centre in Iseyin, Oyo State, marking a significant milestone for the initiative in Nigeria.

Launched 13 years ago with funding from the Dutch government, the 2Scale program has served as a platform to incubate and accelerate inclusive agribusiness ventures through public-private partnerships. The program’s conclusion of its funding cycle included the strategic transfer of knowledge and operational responsibilities to local stakeholders, ensuring the sustainability of its impact on Nigeria’s agricultural sector.

This handover is seen as a major step in empowering Nigerian entrepreneurs and farmers, fostering homegrown agribusiness solutions, and strengthening the country’s food production and economic development.
