Kaduna, Nigeria — In the early hours of Wednesday, bandits launched a violent attack on Kauran Fawa village in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing one resident and leaving another critically injured.

According to a local eyewitness, Mohammed Sabiu, the attackers stormed the community in large numbers, heavily armed, instilling fear among residents. Sabiu reported the incident to SaharaReporters’ New York office.

“They killed our brother, Sabiu Hamza, and badly injured Gambo Abdulkadir, who was rushed to the hospital,” Sabiu lamented, describing the attack as sudden and devastating to the tight-knit community.
