Nigeria TV Info – Soldiers Raise Alarm Over Alleged Security Breaches Linked to ‘Repentant’ Boko Haram Members

Some frontline Nigerian soldiers currently engaged in counter-insurgency operations in Yobe and Borno States have raised serious concerns over the government’s continued integration of so-called “repentant” Boko Haram members into military-controlled deradicalization and rehabilitation programmes.

Speaking anonymously due to fear of military sanctions, the soldiers described the policy as “a deadly mistake that continues to cost lives.”

According to the soldiers, the former insurgents—who reportedly serve as informants and local guides within battalions across several bases in the Northeast—have been leaking classified operational plans, troop movement details, and information on armoury and ammunition supply routes to Boko Haram factions still active in the region.
