Panic and fear engulfed Isapa community in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State on Monday evening as terrorists launched a violent attack, abducting a pregnant woman, 10 children, two nursing mothers, and several other residents.

The assault, which occurred around 6 p.m. on November 24, 2025, saw between 20 and 30 heavily armed bandits storm the community while advancing with a large herd of cattle and firing sporadically, according to National Pilot.

During the attack, an elderly woman was struck by a stray bullet, adding to the terror witnessed by the residents.

A community leader confirmed that 11 people were abducted, including seven members of the same family. Among those kidnapped are:

Talatu Kabiru

Magaji

Kande

Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers moved through different parts of the community, leaving bullet holes in walls and doors. Expended AK-47 shells littered the ground after the assailants retreated into nearby bushes.

This latest incident follows a similar attack in the neighbouring town of Eruku, also in the Ekiti LGA of Kwara State. SaharaReporters earlier detailed how terrorists stormed a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), killing three worshippers and kidnapping several others, including the pastor.

Witnesses from the Eruku attack recounted how the gunmen opened fire during a church meeting, killing three members instantly before marching an unspecified number of worshippers into the bush through escape routes connecting nearby communities.

Residents across affected areas remain on edge as insecurity continues to intensify, with communities calling on security agencies and government authorities for urgent intervention.
