Kayode Egbetokun Replaced as Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police

Kayode Egbetokun has reportedly been replaced as Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police, with Assistant Inspector-General Tunji Disu set to assume the nation’s top policing position, according to a presidency source on Tuesday.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that an official announcement is imminent.

“AIG Tunji Disu is the new IGP. Confirmed,” the source said, adding that the information had received “double confirmation.”
