Nigeria TV Info — State security forces have uncovered a planned large-scale reprisal attack by armed bandits targeting communities in Zamfara State, following recent military operations that led to the killing of a son of notorious bandit leader Ado Aliero and at least 65 other fighters.

According to security sources, the planned retaliation was in response to sustained offensives carried out by Nigerian troops alongside hybrid security units under Operation Fansan Yamma. The intensified campaign has significantly weakened bandit networks operating in the region.

Major Blow to Bandit Network

The coordinated operations targeted known bandit hideouts in Tsafe Local Government Area and surrounding forest corridors. These areas have long served as strongholds for criminal groups involved in kidnapping, cattle rustling, and deadly raids.

Security officials confirmed that several high-profile commanders linked to Ado Aliero were neutralised during the offensive.
