BBNaija Winner, Imisi, Set to Establish NGO for Girl-Child Empowerment

Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, has announced plans to establish a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) focused on empowering the girl-child across Nigeria. Speaking during a press briefing in Lagos on Wednesday, Imisi said the initiative, named Imisi Foundation for the Girl-Child, will focus on education, mentorship, menstrual health, and skill acquisition.

According to her, the vision was inspired by her personal experiences growing up in a low-income community, where many young girls lacked access to education and mentorship. She emphasized that the foundation would partner with local and international organizations to ensure sustainability and reach rural areas.

Imisi also revealed that the foundation’s first outreach will take place in Ogun State next month, targeting 500 girls through scholarship programs, health awareness, and vocational training.

She urged government agencies, private companies, and well-meaning Nigerians to support the project, saying “empowering one girl means empowering a generation.”
