Talca, Chile — Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have arrived in Talca ahead of their participation in the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup finals. The team touched down on Thursday afternoon and will compete in Group F alongside Norway, Saudi Arabia, and Colombia, with all matches scheduled to take place in Talca.
The two-time World Cup runners-up were warmly received by officials from FIFA, the Local Organizing Committee, and representatives of their host hotel. Following their arrival, the team conducted an evening training session in preparation for the tournament. The Flying Eagles are currently lodged at Hotel Diego de Almagro in Talca.
Before arriving in Talca, the team concluded a 12-day intensive training camp in Santiago, featuring friendly matches against host nation Chile and Australia. They drew 1-1 with Chile before securing a 3-1 victory over Australia in their final warm-up game on Tuesday.
Nigeria will kick off their World Cup campaign against Norway on Monday, 29th September, at Estadio Fiscal de Talca. The Flying Eagles will later face Saudi Arabia and Colombia in subsequent Group F fixtures, aiming to secure a place in the knockout stages and build on their proud history in the competition.
