Osimhen Bags Hat-Trick as Galatasaray Stun Ajax 3-0 in Champions League Clash

Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, delivered a sensational performance on Wednesday night, scoring all three goals as Galatasaray cruised to a 3-0 victory over Ajax in their UEFA Champions League encounter at the Johan Cruijff ArenA.

The 26-year-old broke the deadlock in the 59th minute, timing his run perfectly to nod in a superb cross from Leroy Sané. Osimhen went on to convert two penalty kicks within ten minutes, sealing his first-ever Champions League hat-trick.

His treble takes his goal tally this season in the Champions League to six, sending him to the top of the competition’s scoring chart, ahead of Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, and Kylian Mbappé, who each have five goals.

The Nigerian striker has now scored in three consecutive UCL matches, adding to his strike against Liverpool and a brace against Bodo/Glimt.

With his heroics, Osimhen also becomes the highest-scoring Nigerian in all UEFA club competitions with 25 goals, surpassing Obafemi Martins’ long-standing record of 23.
