Tinubu Reaffirms Commitment to Transforming Health Sector, Prioritises Power Solutions

Abuja, Nigeria — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s resolve to overhaul Nigeria’s health sector, stressing that no citizen should lose their life due to power failures in medical facilities.

The President made the declaration on Tuesday at the National Stakeholders’ Dialogue on Power in the Health Sector, held at the Ladi Kwali Hall, Continental Hotel, Abuja.

Tinubu, who was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, said the Federal Government was prioritising innovative and sustainable energy solutions to guarantee uninterrupted electricity supply in the nation’s health institutions.

“Today, we face a pressing issue that affects every Nigerian: the persistent power supply crisis in our tertiary hospitals and public health institutions,” the President said.

He assured stakeholders that his administration remains committed to delivering a modern, reliable, and accessible healthcare system capable of meeting the needs of all Nigerians.
